Cat. #0016442: WALTER LONG

Extremely uncommon vintage inscribed fountain pen signature on a 4x6-inch pale yellow album page, acquired in-person in July of 1946, with a dedication that could be matted out, with care. In good condition for its age. Note that the image of the star shown alongside the scan of the autograph here is not actually included. Walter Long, great shaven-headed tough guy of the silent and early talkie screens who frequently collaborated with director D.W. Griffith, is best remembered as the scowling comic villain in several Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy classics. His autograph is virtually non-existent in any format.
