Cat. #001722: HELENE MILLARD

Rather uncommon pencil signature on a 3x5-inch slip of paper, affixed to a 4x6-inch pale pink autograph album page, acquired in-person in 1935.  In good condition for its age, with very minor surface crinkling.  The lovely leading lady of the late 1920s through early 1950s made her debut as Mary Eastwood in Tod Browning's dark mystery The Thirteenth Chair (1929), alongside Bela Lugosi.  She went on to memorable roles in Their Own Desire (1929), The Divorcee (1930), The Four Horsemen (1932), and The Biscuit Eater (1932).
